WHEN LEARNING BECOMES ACTION, YOUNG PEOPLE LEAD!

What happens when students move beyond memorizing information and begin applying what they learn?
Collaborative, project-bsed, inquiry-bsed, and experiential learning can create opportunuties for students to investigate real problems, exchange ideas, test solutions, and develop confidence through meaningful participation.
A recent UNICEF Tanzania report highlights how students at Mtawanya Secondary School are connecting classroom lessons with practical environmental challenges.
The broader lesson extends beyond climate education.
Young people need opportunities to ask questions, investigate problems, develop solutions, and learn from experience. Teachers, parents, and mentors can help create those opportunities through guidance, encouragement, and meaningful participation.
Education should develop not only knowledge, but also judgment, confidence, creativity, and responsibility. Elimu yenye maana hujenga uwezo wa kufikiri, kutenda na kuwajibika.
At Nurture Forward Foundation, we believe young people should be encouraged to recognize their potential and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
What practical problem could students in your school or community help solve with appropriate guidance and resources?
